Kelty Art Regeneration Trust consists of local artists and volunteer members of the community.
It started as a collaboration with Kelty Community Council and Fife Council. We have since started a new group, Kelty Art and Regeneration Trust (K-ART) .
Our aims are to bring colour and art to the community and brighten up Kelty as a whole.
Our first project was the successful Blackhall Square Regeneration Project. This has resulted in a nicer and brighter area for the community and business owners. The project has improved trade and footfall which has contributed to new employment and a new business opening, filling previously long-term empty units.
Since our first project we have secured funding from the Moray Trust, Kelty Wish Foundation, Fife Council Cowdenbeath Area Committee and the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
Local Businesses who have donated are James Halkett Family Butchers, Kelty Costcutters, North Road Garage, Sinclairs, Salon Eclipse, Kelty Art Centre and MK Cleaners.
We are also extremely grateful to the shops who display our collection tins and every penny which the community donate through them.
